Opening and Keynote Address
Amy Goodman is the host and executive producer of Democracy Now!, a national, daily, independent, award-winning news program airing on over 1,400 public television and radio stations worldwide.
For over 20 years, Goodman and the Democracy Now!  staff have created media with impact that shines a light on the people and movements that shape our world.   What she and her crew do is special – but it’s not that different from what we all can do if we think about the impact of our work and are determined to be more.
Amy Goodman’s work was formed in the heart of community media and continues to be a formative presence on our channels today.    She’ll join us to talk about the importance of our work and the meaning of independent and local media in 2018 and beyond.
